In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social apps in Ghana showed varied trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads averaging around 120K, peaking at 141K in early September. Its weekly revenue exhibited a gradual increase, reaching approximately $21K by the end of the quarter. Active users consistently hovered around 4M.

Tango- Live Stream, Video Chat saw a notable rise in downloads, particularly in early September, hitting 15K. Revenue remained relatively stable, averaging close to $800 weekly, while active users peaked at 44K during the same period.

BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App experienced steady download numbers, with a slight increase to 1.5K in late September. Revenue was consistent, averaging around $700 weekly, and active users reached approximately 4.3K by the quarter's end.

BIBO - Friends, Chat, Call showed fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 29K in mid-August. Revenue saw a decline over the quarter, ending at $400, while active users increased to 66K by late September.

Instagram continued its strong performance with downloads peaking at 65K towards the end of September. Revenue was stable, averaging around $1K weekly, and active users remained robust at approximately 2.8M.
